Next-generation speed for Switch 2

The next-generation Nintendo Switch 2 console comes with 256 GB of internal storage—four times more than the previous Switch OLED. However, given the size of modern next-gen games, this space can fill up very quickly. To solve this problem, SanDisk introduced its own high-performance 1 TB microSD Express card.

Impressive performance for a hefty price

According to the manufacturer, the new card offers significantly higher read speeds, allowing for a substantial reduction in game load times. Key features of the new product:

• Read speeds 3.5 times faster than the fastest SanDisk UHS-I microSD cards;
• A massive storage capacity of 1 terabyte for a large game library;
• Full compatibility with the new Switch 2 protocol.

However, you will have to pay quite a bit for such specs: the official price of the card on the SanDisk website is $360, which is more than two-thirds the cost of the Switch 2 console itself.
