First Hints About the Plot of the Upcoming Expansion
Following the high-profile release of Resident Evil Requiem, which received high praise from critics and became one of the franchise's most successful installments, director Koshi Nakanishi confirmed that development of a story expansion is already underway. Now, the game's writer Haris Orkin has shared the first details about what fans can expect from the upcoming DLC.
What Players Can Expect
While the creators are trying to maintain suspense and avoid direct spoilers for the game's main story campaign, Orkin hinted that the expansion will delve into unresolved mysteries of the finale and reveal new details about the fate of key characters:
- The expansion will expand upon the events of the main game and offer a new perspective on the story's ending;
- Players will gain additional context regarding the motives of certain characters;
- The developers continue to actively work on integrating the DLC into the overarching fabric of the series' universe.
