Capcom has prepared a wonderful gift for all fans of the iconic survival horror series: Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition will officially be released on the new Nintendo Switch 2 console on October 16, 2026.
Next-Generation Classic Remakes on a Hybrid Platform
Players will receive complete editions of the legendary remakes with enhanced graphics, support for modern technologies, and all previously released expansions. In particular, the releases will include:
- Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition — an updated version with extra costumes for Leon and Claire, exclusive weapons, and the original soundtrack;
- Resident Evil 3 — a dynamic adventure following Jill Valentine as she tries to escape the ruined Raccoon City from Nemesis;
- Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition — the award-winning remake along with the Separate Ways story expansion featuring Ada Wong and the Extra DLC Pack.
The release of all three games will take place simultaneously on October 16, 2026, in the eShop digital store and on physical media.
