Lingokids published a report on the favorite characters of children aged 2-8. Mario took seventh place among boys, yielding to Sonic, who ended up in second position.

The playlearning platform Lingokids, which has over 10 million active monthly users, has published an interesting report. The study shows what children aged 2 to 8 are most passionate about and how they get to know new characters.

According to the report, video games rank third among the sources from which children learn about new heroes. Games yielded only to TV shows and movies, but surpassed toys, books, the internet, and friends.

Interestingly, the mustachioed plumber Mario ended up only in seventh place, while another famous video game character, Sonic, took an honorable second place.
