Underwater Dolphin Adventure Expands Beyond VR
Former virtual reality exclusive Jupiter & Mars is preparing for its release on Nintendo Switch. The updated release subtitled Definitive Edition will arrive on the digital Switch eShop this Thursday, September 10, 2026.
For those unfamiliar with the project: Jupiter & Mars is an atmospheric underwater adventure game in which players explore ocean depths as a dolphin in a post-apocalyptic future world.
What's New in the Definitive Edition:
- Enhanced graphics: updated visual effects adapted for the hybrid console.
- New camera: added a comfortable third-person view instead of the VR headset format.
- New soundtrack: an ending theme song by Japanese techno legend Ken Ishii, which was not present in the original version of the game.
