Crazy Australian football is now on Switch
Today, Pro Jank Footy — a comedy arcade sports game from studios Powerbomb Games and Tinker Town together with publisher Umbrella Gaming — was released on Nintendo Switch. This is no ordinary football, but a crazy version of Australian rules football (Footy), which combines roguelite chaos and classic 90s-style arcade sports games.
Game features and gameplay
Matches begin like a classic retro game, where two teams of 18 players try to score a goal. However, the most interesting part begins after a goal is scored: the opposing team receives a random power-up that completely changes the course of the game.
- More than 150 unique power-ups: turn opponents into seagulls, build brick walls in the goal, or drive onto the field in an old sedan.
- If you are losing, simply pull the switch to cause a "random" power outage and reset the score to zero!
- 10 wacky Australian teams and 4 dynamic stadiums.
- Various modes: 1v1 local multiplayer, online matches with players from all over the world, and a single-player "Season" mode.
Every match is accompanied by crazy commentary from Australian comedy star Broden Kelly, taking the chaos to a new level. The game has already gained popularity at many gaming exhibitions, and is now ready to win the hearts of Switch owners.
