Company PowerA has unveiled new officially licensed accessories for the Nintendo Switch 2, dedicated to the hit game The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Players will get a new Advantage series wireless controller and a stylish protective case for the next-generation console.
Advantage Wireless Controller Features
The new gamepad combines a stylized design inspired by Link's adventures with modern technological solutions:
- Hall Effect Sensor Sticks: contactless magnetic sensors prevent stick drift and ensure smooth, precise control;
- Programmable Buttons: additional buttons on the back panel allow assigning actions on the fly without opening system settings;
- Gyroscope: tilt-control support for aiming and maneuvering in games;
- C Button: designed for quick access to GameChat features;
- Battery Life: up to 30 hours of operation on a single charge (a 3-meter USB-C cable is included);
- Compatibility: the device is compatible with the entire console family — Nintendo Switch 2, original Switch, OLED version, and Switch Lite.
It is worth noting that the controller does not support HD Rumble technology, an infrared camera, or NFC for amiibo figures.
Protective Case for Switch 2
Along with the gamepad, PowerA will release a branded case styled after Tears of the Kingdom. The exterior is made of durable PU material, while the interior lining protects the Switch 2 screen from scratches. Inside, there are slots for 9 cartridges, 2 microSD Express memory cards, as well as a mesh pocket for cables, headphones, and Joy-Con 2 straps.
Price and Release Date
The case will cost around $23, and the controller around $70. Both accessories will go on sale in Japan as early as October 9, 2026, with global release information expected soon.
