During the closing ceremony of the Pokémon World Championship, The Pokémon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara made a surprise announcement: the iconic collectible trading card game (TCG) will get its own feature film titled Pokémon Wild Card. The film's premiere is scheduled for 2027.
