Water Starter Pokémon in Pokémon Winds and Waves Breaks Long-Standing Series "Curse"

The New Tenth Generation of Pokémon Changes Traditions

Every new generation of Pokémon inevitably sparks heated debates about the starter Pokémon. For many years, public favorites were usually the Fire- or Grass-type starter monsters, while Water Pokémon often remained in the shadow of their companions.

In the new 10th generation — Pokémon Winds and Waves — Game Freak and Nintendo introduced a new starter trio: Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua. It was the Water Pokémon Gecqua that instantly captured the community's attention, breaking the multi-year "curse" of less popular Water starters.

Fans worldwide are already praising the newcomer's charismatic design, making it one of the most desired companions for the new adventure.
