New Deluxe Pack: Mega Expansion
The Pokémon Company has officially announced the next major expansion for the mobile card game Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, titled Deluxe Pack: Mega. The set will become available on September 29.
The main feature of the new booster pack is the guaranteed drop of a Pokémon ex rarity card in every opened pack. The set will include reprints of 4-diamond cards from previous sets (including Ruler of the Skies), many of which will receive updated artwork, foil effects, and new illustrations, including unique art featuring Mega Charizard X.
Major Game System Updates in October
In addition to the release of the new card set, at the end of October the developers plan to introduce a number of significant changes to the game mechanics:
- Community Decks: the ability to search for ready-made deck builds by other players and automatically create them if the required cards are available.
- Deck Rental: unlimited rental of decks from the newest booster packs to complete solo challenges and battle other players.
- Solo Mode Rework: current Step-up battles, thematic lists, and special deck missions will be closed in favor of a new solo battle system.
- End of Launch Promotions: celebratory Poké Gold offers from the game's release are coming to an end.
