A new event, “Harvest Festival: Applin Picking,” has begun in Pokémon Go, dedicated to the apple Pokémon Applin and its evolutionary forms. If you were missing one of the four evolutions of this little dragon, now is a great time to fill out your Pokédex.
Event Features and Research Tasks
As part of the event, Timed Research and special Field Research tasks are available to Trainers. Completing them will yield necessary resources, including various types of apples for evolution:
- Sweet and Tart Apples to obtain Flapple and Appletun;
- Special items to unlock Dipplin and Hydrapple;
- Encounters with wild Grass- and Dragon-type Pokémon.
Team Rocket Invasion
The Harvest Festival won't come without obstacles — the Taken Over event is running concurrently. Team Rocket has ramped up its activity in the game once again, introducing a new lineup of Shadow Pokémon that Trainers can rescue and purify.
