Official Pokémon Account on X Hacked to Promote Memecoin

The official Pokémon franchise account on social network X has suffered a hacker attack: attackers are promoting a fake memecoin for the series' anniversary.

The wave of cyberattacks on major gaming companies has reached the pocket monsters as well. The official Pokémon franchise account on the social network X (formerly Twitter) appears to have fallen victim to hackers.

Fake Anniversary and Cryptocurrency Scam

A suspicious post appeared on the page announcing the launch of a special "memecoin", allegedly in honor of the upcoming 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. The Pokémon Company has never engaged in such crypto projects, so fans immediately suspected the profile had been hacked.

Advice for Users:

  • Do not follow links published in compromised posts.
  • Under no circumstances connect your crypto wallets or enter personal data.
  • Wait for the official restoration of account control by The Pokémon Company.

We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates as soon as an official comment from company representatives appears.
