Today, The Pokemon Company shared important news for all longtime fans of the series — the Pokemon Bank service will permanently shut down.
Service closure details
According to the official announcement, the service will be completely shut down on February 26, 2027. After this date, trainers will permanently lose the following abilities:
- Store their Pokemon in the Pokemon Bank cloud storage.
- Transfer pocket monsters from Pokemon Bank to the modern Pokemon Home service.
The developers strongly urge all players not to delay and transfer their beloved creatures to Pokemon Home as soon as possible, so as not to lose them forever after the final closure of the servers.
