The developers of the popular co-op platformer PICO PARK have reached out to owners of the next-generation console with an unusual request: to temporarily refrain from purchasing and launching the game on Switch 2.
Critical bug on Switch 2
The original PICO PARK was released on Nintendo Switch back in 2019, and the project does not have a native version for Switch 2. However, running the game via backward compatibility encounters a serious issue. Studio TECOPARK reported numerous player complaints: when playing online on Switch 2 on level WORLD 1-2, the screen turns completely white, making further progress impossible.
Seeking a fix and possible delisting
Initially, the creators believed the issue was caused by the network connection of individual users, but the scale of the complaints confirmed a technical glitch on the game's side on the new system.
- The development team is already investigating and working on a patch;
- Players are asked not to buy the game specifically for Switch 2 until the issue is resolved;
- The developers do not rule out temporarily suspending sales of the game in the eShop until the bug is fixed.
