Phoenix Wright's courtroom adventure franchise has achieved another impressive milestone. Capcom has officially announced that the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy collection has sold over 5 million copies worldwide across all platforms.
The journey from a niche game to a global phenomenon
The very first entry in the series appeared back in 2001 in Japan on the Game Boy Advance. Worldwide recognition arrived later—in 2005, when the game was updated and re-released for the Nintendo DS console. Back then, Capcom took a bold step with localization for the Western market and succeeded: interactive courtroom battles instantly won players' hearts.
Celebrating the franchise's 25th anniversary
This commercial triumph coincided with an upcoming major date: on October 12, 2026, the Ace Attorney series celebrates its 25th anniversary. On this occasion, the creators shared news and commemorative materials:
- Anniversary artwork by series artists Kazuya Nuri and Takuro Fuse was released.
- The festive illustration showcases beloved characters in elegant festive outfits.
- The company thanked the community for years of dedication and support for their favorite attorney.
The trilogy collection remains the ideal entry point for newcomers, as well as a great opportunity for long-time fans to refresh their memories ahead of future Capcom announcements.
