Pocketpair Head Is Excited About Switch 2 and Dreams of Releasing Palworld on Nintendo's Platform

Pocketpair's head called the Switch 2 an amazing platform and expressed a desire to release the hit Palworld on Nintendo's console, despite ongoing lawsuits.

Despite ongoing lawsuits between Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and studio Pocketpair, the developers of Palworld have not lost hope for future collaboration. Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe, in an interview with VGC, expressed admiration for the Switch 2 console and stated a desire to port the game to Nintendo's platform.

Admiration for the Next-Gen Console

In a comment to the media, the Pocketpair executive noted how important a role the new system plays for the industry:

«First of all, I want to say that we think the Switch 2 is a truly amazing platform — not only for the global market, but especially here in Japan and for the entire Japanese video game industry. It is an incredible console. If in the future an opportunity arises to discuss or consider bringing Palworld to the Switch platform in any form, we would gladly enter such dialogue».

Legal Battles No Obstacle to Ambitions?

The conflict between the companies flared up over allegations of patent infringement, as the design of many creatures in Palworld resembles Pokémon. However, industry history knows plenty of examples where Nintendo successfully rebuilt partnerships after sharp disagreements.

Whether Palworld will ever be able to appear on Switch 2 depends on the outcome of the legal battle, but the developers openly declare their readiness for reconciliation and releasing the game on Nintendo's console.
