Incube8 Games studio has pleasantly surprised retro gaming fans by announcing PachiPals — a new game for the classic Game Boy Color console. The official release is scheduled for October 18, 2026, and pre-orders will start as early as August 11.
Game features and plot
The events of PachiPals unfold in the quiet coastal town of Avant Haven. The peaceful life of the locals is interrupted after the appearance of a mysterious creature that no one has ever seen before. Players will have to embark on a journey through the colorful Astria region to uncover this mystery, find hidden treasures, and assemble their own team of monsters.
The game offers a unique combination of the monster collecting genre with dynamic pinball and pachinko gameplay. To catch a wild creature, you need to use your Sphere, hitting it with flippers to deplete the target's energy. During duels with other trainers, the Sphere lands on a special pachinko board, where correct positioning, monster speed, and elemental advantages decide the fate of the battle.
What awaits players:
- Over 100 unique PachiPals, including their evolutionary forms.
- Exploring the region, unlocking fast travel via campfires, and meeting the locals.
- A deep combat system that takes into account elements and monsters' special skills.
Physical edition
For true collectors, Incube8 Games has prepared a physical edition on cartridges. It includes:
- Sealed box;
- Clear grey cartridge with a protective case;
- Printed user manual;
- Set of themed PachiPals stickers;
- Exclusive printed circuit board (PCB) with artwork on the back.
