Bandai Namco has revealed the technical specifications and details of the updated version of the game Once Upon A Katamari for the Switch 2 console. The project's release is scheduled for October 8, 2026, and owners of the original Switch version will be able to receive the upgrade completely free of charge.

Technical Features and Graphics

Specific details regarding the game's resolution and performance on the new hardware have appeared on the official Japanese website:

  • Docked mode: up to 4K
  • Handheld mode: up to 1080p
  • Frame rate: up to 60 fps

Other Details and Limitations

In addition to increased clarity and smoothness, the Switch 2 version will support mouse controls. However, there are several important nuances:

  • HDR support is absent.

Also on October 8, a paid DLC titled "Rolling LIVE Highlights" will be released, adding new levels, 10 additional quests, soundtracks, and new cousins for the Prince.
