Behind the scenes of creating Orbitals
Nintendo has released a new episode in the "Creator's Voice" series, featuring the creators of the highly anticipated exclusive for Nintendo Switch 2 — the game Orbitals. Developers from the Tokyo-based studio Shapefarm, supported by publisher Kepler Interactive, shared interesting details about the creation of this intergalactic co-op adventure, inspired by classic retro anime.
In the video, Creative Director Marcos Ramos, Game Director Jacob Lundgren, and Storyboard Director Hidetoshi Yoshida talked about their creative journey. In particular, Marcos Ramos showed the step-by-step process of drawing the main characters and gave motivational advice to artists: "It took years of failed sketches, so if you ever feel sad because you can't get something right — we have all been through it. I feel it every day. So just try again."
