Nintendo blocked over 400 Switch emulator repositories in a single day

Nintendo's fight against Nintendo Switch console emulators has reached a new level. In just a single day, the Japanese company achieved the removal of over 400 repositories on the GitHub platform.

Nintendo's lawyers submitted seven complaints under the provisions of the DMCA regarding the circumvention of copyright protection measures. As a result, numerous projects were targeted, including:

• Copies and forks of the once-popular Suyu emulator;
• Various forks of the shut-down Yuzu emulator;
• Repositories of the Skyline mobile emulator.

Most of these source code repositories are currently blocked and offline. Nintendo continues its strict intellectual property protection policy, promptly responding to any attempts to revive previously shut-down emulation projects.
