Official entry of Nintendo into the Indonesian market
The Nintendo company is preparing for a massive expansion of its presence in the global market. It is officially confirmed that the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 gaming consoles will be released in Indonesia in December 2026.
The end of the import era
For many years, Nintendo's official presence in Indonesia was practically non-existent. Despite a huge audience and steady interest in the company's games, the local fan base grew exclusively thanks to the gray import of consoles from other countries. Now the situation will radically change:
- Players will receive an official warranty and service support.
- Games and accessories will be available in local stores without import markups.
- The Switch 2 will go on sale along with the official release of the first version of the console in this market.
This step demonstrates Nintendo's serious intentions to strengthen its position in Asia and provide players from Indonesia with full access to the company's ecosystem.
