Innovations for the Fire Emblem series
Nintendo has officially confirmed that the upcoming tactical game Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave will receive support for motion and mouse controls. This news appeared just this week, although it went almost unnoticed by the general public. The release of the project will take place on the new Switch 2 console.
Control features on Switch 2
This is the first time in the history of the long-running franchise that such a feature will be officially supported by the developers. According to available information, the new way of interacting with the game will have the following characteristics:
- New experience: using gestures and a mouse for faster or more precise control of troops on the battlefield.
- Completely optional: classic button controls will not disappear, the new methods will be used exclusively at the player's discretion.
- Focus on the new generation: the game and its functionality are created taking into account the hardware capabilities of the Switch 2.
Currently, Nintendo is not revealing all the details of exactly how these tools will work, but the introduction of alternative control methods will surely please fans of the series seeking new experiences.
