Kirby Air Riders players were looking forward to celebrating Halloween in the game, but the special event had to be canceled at the last minute due to serious technical issues.
Reasons for cancellation and performance issues
Nintendo has officially announced the cancellation of the "Trick or Treat!" event in Kirby Air Riders. As it turned out, a critical error occurred during gameplay that led to a complete screen freeze. Since the developers could not promptly resolve the issue, the decision was made to completely withdraw the launch of the Halloween activity.
New replacement event
Fortunately for fans, Nintendo quickly found an alternative. Instead of the canceled celebration, another event was announced:
- Dates: from November 4 to November 9, 2026;
- Rules: competition following the rules of the "Shadow Star’s Revenge" mode;
- Rewards: all planned bonuses remain in effect, including the unique Ghost headwear.
Therefore, players will still be able to get all the desired Halloween prizes, albeit within a slightly updated competition format.
