Ravenswatch gets new hero Kintaro and a massive talent rework

The roguelike Ravenswatch has added a new DLC character, Kintaro from Japanese folklore, alongside a major talent update.

The co-op roguelike action game Ravenswatch has received a new expansion adding Kintaro, a character from Japanese folklore, to the roster of fighters. The new hero is already available for players on Nintendo Switch.

Who is Kintaro and what is his combat style?

Kintaro has become the game's fourth additional hero, expanding the overall roster to 13 characters. Unlike most other inhabitants of the world of Reveree, he has no curses or afflictions. He is endowed with superhuman strength, a heart of gold, and a giant axe.

Kintaro's key feature is his loyal companion, the bear Kuma. The character possesses two sets of abilities:

  • Mounted on Kuma: swift bear claw attacks for quickly bursting through enemies.
  • On foot: sweeping axe strikes and powerful combo attacks fighting side-by-side with his partner.

Massive talent update

Alongside the DLC release, studio Passtech Games launched a major free update that completely reworks the talent system. The developers took community feedback into account: some skills were rebalanced, some merged or removed, and a whole range of new talents was added. This refreshes the gameplay experience for all existing characters.
