Next-generation hunting on a handheld console
During the Nintendo Direct presentation, Capcom announced that the large-scale action RPG Monster Hunter Wilds will officially launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 5, 2026.
The version for the new platform will include not only the game itself, but also all previously released free content and updates, including new monsters and gameplay balance improvements.
Local co-op and future expansion
The main feature of the Switch 2 release will be the return of classic local co-op, allowing players to gather together in real life and hunt together without the need for an internet connection.
- Full set of all free DLCs and additional monsters;
- Support for local wireless co-op mode;
- Release scheduled for December 5, 2026.
In addition, the developers reminded about the development of the first major expansion, Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascension, which will be released next year and bring a new region, fresh monsters, and story missions.
