The iconic series of fast-paced arcade action games is returning with a grand anniversary release. The Metal Slug Ultimate Collection compilation has been announced, which will be released in 2027 on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 platforms to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the legendary franchise.

Modern features and museum content
In addition to classic gameplay, the collection will receive a number of modern conveniences: quick saves and loads, a rewind function, online leaderboards, and Score Attack and Time Attack modes. For newcomers, Combat School Mode will return to help master basic controls and combat techniques.
Fans of the franchise's history will also find an expanded gallery featuring concept art, logos, and other development materials. In addition, the development team has already confirmed the preparation of a full physical edition.
