Spy Adventures of a Tiny Spider
Sumo Digital, the studio known for developing LittleBigPlanet 3 and Sackboy: A Big Adventure, has officially announced the release of the adventure game Spyder: Agent 8 for Nintendo Switch. According to the Japanese Nintendo eShop, the release is scheduled for February 11, 2027.
The game takes place in a retro-futuristic 1970s spy world. Players will take control of Agent 8 — the world's smallest high-tech robot spider, created by the British secret service S.A.F.E. The hero's main mission is to stop the villainous organization S.I.N and save the world from disaster.
Gameplay Features
- Stealth and mobility: thanks to sticky suction cups on its legs, the spider can traverse any surface — walls, floors, and ceilings, avoiding surveillance cameras.
- Spy gadgets: players will have a cutter to slice through metal panels, a web grappling hook to cross gaps, and other devices at their disposal.
- Environmental puzzles: completing missions will require manipulating objects, searching for hidden passages, and solving spatial challenges.
- 70s aesthetic: bright, colorful graphics and a retro atmosphere in the spirit of classic spy action films.
