Konami aims to release Silent Hill games every year

Konami aims to make Silent Hill releases annual and is actively working on many unannounced projects in the franchise.

The company Konami has ambitious plans for the return and large-scale expansion of its iconic horror franchise. As series producer Motoi Okamoto stated, the publisher aims to make game releases in the Silent Hill universe practically annual.

Many unannounced projects in development

Following the successful reboot of interest in the series through the Silent Hill 2 remake and experimental releases, the company is actively collaborating with various external and internal studios. According to Konami representatives, there are currently "many" projects in production that have not yet been officially announced.

  • Annual schedule: the company wants to regularly deliver new horrors to fans—from full-fledged mainline entries to spin-offs and remakes.
  • Variety of formats: work is underway on diverse games in collaboration with talented global developers.
  • Future platforms: fans hope to see adaptations and new franchise releases on modern hybrid consoles as well, including the successor to the Nintendo Switch.

It seems that the silent, foggy town is no longer going to take a long break, and players can look forward to a packed release schedule in the coming years.
