007 First Light Reaches 4 Million Copies Sold — Switch 2 Version on the Way

The spy action game 007 First Light from IO Interactive has surpassed the 4 million copies sold mark in less than three months. Next up is a release on Switch 2.

Spy Success for IO Interactive

Developers from the IO Interactive studio shared great news: their spy action game 007 First Light has surpassed the 4 million copies sold mark in less than three months since release.

This is a significant achievement for the team, especially against the backdrop of recent industry difficulties. As a reminder, in just its first week after launch, the game sold 2.7 million copies, receiving acclaim from both critics and players for its great origin story of young agent James Bond in the "00" program.

New Platforms and a Sequel Ahead?

The commercial triumph significantly increases the chances of a sequel, although if a new installment is developed, Amazon, which owns the rights to the franchise, will likely want to take a more active part in the publishing process.

There is another pleasant piece of news for the Nintendo community: according to available information, the release of 007 First Light for the Switch 2 console is just around the corner, allowing owners of Nintendo's new platform to personally dive into the spy adventures of the iconic agent.
