Ukrainian studio Triomatica Games has launched fundraising for a new game
Ukrainian studio Triomatica Games, known for its warmly received game Boxville, has launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter platform for its new project — I Want to Play the Villain!. It is a theatre-themed logic puzzle whose release on Nintendo Switch is planned for the first quarter of 2027.
Game Features and Kickstarter Campaign
In I Want to Play the Villain!, players are tasked with creating perfect theatrical performances by assigning actors to roles. Each character on stage has their own personality, ambitions, fears, and preferences. Your task is to swap the cast, change costumes, and manipulate the plot so that every artist remains satisfied and the performance goes flawlessly.
- Theatrical logic puzzles: clever challenges with unique rules.
- Modular stories: even a single change in the cast can drastically rewrite the play's ending.
- Diverse chapters: each level offers its own setting, characters, and mechanics.
- Deep actor personalities: assign the right roles to stage partners and avoid their phobias.
You can support the project on Kickstarter starting from £5 — such a pledge guarantees a digital copy of the game and a mention in the credits. Additional reward tiers include beta testing, digital artbooks, the soundtrack, and even the opportunity to add your own character to the game.
