Connection Issues in The Duskbloods: FromSoftware Advises Sitting Closer to the Router

The network test for The Duskbloods on Switch 2 has begun. Following connection complaints, FromSoftware advises playing closer to the router or using a cable.

Connection Issues in The Duskbloods and Developer Advice

The closed network test for The Duskbloods—an upcoming PvPvE action game from FromSoftware scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch 2 later this year—has begun. Players got the chance to be the first to experience the gameplay, though not without the technical difficulties typical of beta tests.

Due to numerous complaints about unstable connections and disconnects during matches, FromSoftware published official recommendations, which turned out to be fairly standard and straightforward.

How to Improve Network Stability?

The developers advise players to check their basic connection settings:

  • Use a direct wired connection via an Ethernet cable instead of a wireless network.
  • If playing over Wi-Fi, move the console as close to the router as possible and avoid physical obstacles to the signal.
  • Check home network traffic and, if possible, limit background downloads on other devices.

The FromSoftware team thanked all participants for actively testing and noted that all data collected regarding network traffic will help optimize the servers ahead of the game's full release.
