As announced during the AG French Direct, publisher Red Art Games has released Gobliiins Collection on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. This collection, which includes the first five games of the cult series, is already available in digital format and marks the franchise's debut on consoles.
What is included in the Gobliiins Collection
The collection contains five classic adventure puzzles released on PC between 1991 and 2023:
- Gobliiins (1991) — rescuing King Angulafre by three goblins.
- Gobliins 2: The Prince Buffoon (1992) — the search for the missing prince.
- Goblins 3 (1993) — the adventures of reporter Blount in the kingdom of Foliander.
- Gobliiins 4 (2009) — the first 3D game of the series about the search for the king's pet.
- Gobliiins 5: The Invasion of the Morglotons (2023) — the fight against a mysterious epidemic that turns people into potatoes.
In addition to the games themselves, the collection offers rich bonus content: a music player, 3D models of the original boxes, a gallery with design documents, and an exclusive video interview with the series' co-creator Pierre Gilhodes.
Update for Switch 2
The game has also been released on Nintendo Switch 2. Owners of the original Switch version can download it to the new console at no additional cost and import their saves. The Switch 2 version supports using the Joy-Con 2 as a mouse for a more intuitive gameplay experience.
Upcoming Patch
The developers are aware of some technical issues in the Switch version and promise to release a patch in the coming days. It will include:
- A new "How to play" screen before launching the first three games.
- Touch screen performance improvements.
- Fixes for various bugs and freezes in the 4th and 5th parts.
- Performance optimization and the addition of anti-aliasing in Gobliiins 4.
