Independent studio Laser Guided Games has announced the official 1.0 release of the dark action RPG Fractured Worlds on Nintendo Switch. The project was created by industry veteran Matt Oelfke (known for his work on Gears of War and Unreal Tournament) and, following an early access period, has arrived on consoles.
A Ruined World and Classless Freedom
The game takes place in a shattered world that has turned into a labyrinth of lost times and spaces. Players must explore procedurally generated locations, overcome dangerous enemies, and unravel the causes of the global cataclysm.
- Deliberate combat system: each weapon type—from heavy maces to fast spears and magic wands—features its own rhythm and unique feel in battle.
- Flexible progression: the classless system allows players to experiment with builds, reallocate skills, and adapt to discovered legendary items.
- Souls-like multiplayer: overlapping realities allow players to both help one another and invade other worlds or set up ambushes.
- Map Shards system: cooperative play with random difficulty modifiers, unique enemies, and increased rewards.
Fractured Worlds is already available for download on the Nintendo eShop digital store.
