Retro shooter Outbreak: Dead City to be released on Nintendo Switch on November 4

The retro survival shooter Outbreak: Dead City is coming to Nintendo Switch on November 4. Players can look forward to '90s low-poly graphics and a zombie apocalypse.

Publisher eastasiasoft has announced that the retro first-person shooter Outbreak: Dead City will be released on the Nintendo Switch console on November 4, 2026. The game combines classic first-person action with survival horror elements and a distinctive low-poly 3D style in the spirit of '90s classics.

Saving humanity in a zombie apocalypse world

As a soldier of the H.A.D.E.S. special unit, players will deploy into a ruined city overrun by hordes of the undead. The main task is to locate a secret laboratory, evacuate scientists, collect valuable data, and find a vaccine that can stop the global disaster.

Key features of the game:

  • Atmospheric low-poly visuals: the aesthetics of classic 3D games from the '90s era.
  • Upgradable arsenal: semi-automatic rifles, pistols, and melee weapons.
  • Interaction and survival: communicating with other survivors, completing side quests, and scavenging for resources.
  • "New Game+" mode: an opportunity to test your skills after the first playthrough.

The game was developed by ScrapGearStudio. The price of Outbreak: Dead City in the Nintendo eShop will be $6.99 / €6.99, with a 20% discount available at launch.
