Series director Naoki Hamaguchi shared fresh details regarding the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Revelation, whose release is scheduled, among others, for Switch 2 on April 8, 2027. In an interview with Hardcore Gamer, he spoke about the difficulty settings available to players.
Two Challenge Levels: Hard Mode and Dynamic Mode
For fans of true hardcore gameplay, the developers have prepared some pleasant surprises:
- Hard Mode: this mode can be selected right from the beginning of the game. It will offer players grueling battles and increased difficulty without requiring a prior playthrough.
- Dynamic Mode: similar to the classic hard mode from Remake and Rebirth. In it, players will experience deep strategic battles where enemies and characters scale to the maximum level, while item usage will remain permitted.
In the final installment of the trilogy, Cloud Strife and his friends will embark on the final battle to save the planet aboard the airship Highwind, trying to stop Sephiroth and the destructive magic of Meteor.
