Square Enix has shared a new promotional video for the long-awaited final part of the trilogy — Final Fantasy VII Revelation. In the short video, the developers demonstrated exploration of the updated Midgar region atop their faithful feathered companion — the chocobo.
The Finale of a Grand Journey
In Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Cloud Strife and his friends face the threat of total world destruction. Sephiroth approaches godhood, while the Swordswoman and the deadly Meteor threaten the planet. Traveling on the legendary airship "Highwind", the heroes will freely explore a seamless open world without boundaries, with the ability to parachute drop anywhere on the planet.
Key Features of the Game:
- New Playable Characters: Vincent Valentine with lightning-fast shooting and fierce beast transformations, as well as Cid Highwind with a spear and devastating area-of-effect attacks.
- FITS System: the ability to equip unique costumes that grant new movesets and pay homage to classic jobs in the series, such as Black Mage or Warrior.
- Massive Locations: the sunny archipelago of Mideel, the warlike nation of Wutai, and the frozen wastelands of the Northern Continent.
The release of Final Fantasy VII Revelation on the Switch 2 console is scheduled for April 8, 2027.
