Square Enix officially announced Final Fantasy Resonance — the first game in the iconic series executed in the popular HD-2D style. It is a true celebration for fans, combining classic and modern elements of the franchise. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. To celebrate the announcement, the developers shared a new trailer featuring a fan favorite, Noctis.

Players are invited to return to the pixelated world of Final Fantasy, which has evolved from its classic roots. Travel with companions bound by fate and summon Visions to your aid to uncover the truth about a dark force that threatens to destroy everything around.
