Studios TYPE-MOON and TYPE-MOON studio BB have shared a new trailer for the anticipated remake Fate/EXTRA Record. The video is dedicated to introducing rivals and their powerful Servants, whom players will have to face during the struggle for the Holy Grail.
The Moon Holy Grail War Begins Anew
The events of the game unfold in the spiritron virtual space "SE.RA.PH.", constructed on the surface of the Moon. 128 of the world's most talented hackers, capable of converting their souls into digital energy, act as Masters. By forging contracts with legendary heroes of the past—Servants of various classes (including Saber or Archer)—they compete for absolute power and the fulfillment of any wish.
The new trailer showcased key rivals such as Shinji Matou, Alice, Julius B. Harwey, Dan Blackmore, Monji Gatou, Leonardo B. Harwey, Rani VIII, and Rin Tohsaka.
An Updated Classic
Fate/EXTRA Record is a complete reimagining of the original 2010 RPG for the PSP. The remake will offer players:
- Updated and detailed character and environment graphics;
- Expanded story scenarios from author Kinoko Nasu;
- A deepened tactical combat system with deck-building elements.
The release of Fate/EXTRA Record for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles is scheduled for January 28, 2027.
