A major update has been released for the frantic arcade battle royale Faaast Penguin. Today, Season 13 officially launched in the game under the title FPX: Badlands, transporting penguins to a scorching desert filled with fire, explosions, and crazy races at breakneck speed.
Welcome to Sand Bends
The events of the new season unfold in the world of FPX: Badlands. In this harsh town of Sand Bends, water and cans of sardines are the most valuable resources. The daredevil Mad Riders gang attempts to rule the local wastelands, organizing dangerous, no-rules races.
Players will have to avoid hazardous obstacles such as the "Barrel Mouse" — a seagull with a barrel of explosives and a switch on its back, which triggers a massive explosion when hit.
New Season Characters
- Crimson Ace: Gear — the undisputed ace and fastest racer of the Mad Riders gang, wearing a mysterious antique medallion on his belt.
- Wasteland Courier: Clutch — an experienced courier who usually ignores competitions, but his latest delivery task forced him onto the deadly track.
Improved Stunt System
Season 13 brings back the mid-air stunt mechanic, increasing the base speed of races. The more tricks you manage to chain together, the higher the "Run Rank" will be (up to Rank X). Additionally, developers have simplified performing stunts in FPX: Snowboarding and FPX: Badlands:
- Increased the time window for successful stunt execution.
- Reduced bounce from track slopes.
- Shortened recovery time after a failed landing.
- In case of a failed landing, a small boost is now still granted depending on the number of completed tricks.
