Legendary hack-and-slash returns on the new console
Publisher Koei Tecmo shared fresh details regarding the release of DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered for the Switch 2 console. The full release of the game is scheduled for October 1, 2026, but players will be able to test the new title in advance.
As early as September 24, 2026, a free demo version of the project will appear in the eShop digital store.
Updated graphics and online co-op
The remaster is being created on Unreal Engine 5, which allowed for a detailed recreation of the generals and legendary battlefields. The combat system has also received a number of improvements, offering an updated take on "1 vs 1,000" battles while preserving the spirit of the original.
In addition to the demo version, the developers announced a free update that will add two-player online co-op. The release of this patch is scheduled for January 2027.
