Artbook Release Postponed to Spring 2027
Publishing house Dark Horse has announced the postponement of the release of the massive artbook The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — Secrets of the Zonai. Instead of the previously scheduled release on October 20, 2026, the book will be published on March 30, 2027. Representatives of the publisher thanked fans for their patience and explained the delay by the desire to prepare the edition according to the highest quality standards.
What Awaits Readers Inside?
The grand 472-page tome will offer a detailed look at the creation of one of Nintendo's greatest adventures:
- Over 50 pages of high-quality illustrations, character artwork, and promotional materials.
- Around 300 pages of concept art, sketches, work notes, and behind-the-scenes development details.
- Over 80 pages of Hyrule chronicles and a deep dive into the mysterious past of the Zonai civilization.
- Exclusive interviews with the game's lead creators: producer Eiji Aonuma, director Hidemaro Fujibayashi, and art director Satoru Takizawa.
Editions and Contents
Dark Horse has prepared two editions of the artbook:
- Standard Edition ($60) — a full 472-page hardcover version of the book.
- Hero’s Edition ($120) — a premium edition featuring an exclusive cover, a special green slipcase, an art print with Link and the Sages, a cloth map of the Depths of Hyrule, and a replica of the Tear of Zelda.
