City-building hit moves to the next generation
Publisher Paradox Interactive and development studio Tantalus Media have officially announced a new re-release of the cult city-building simulator — Cities: Skylines – Expanded Edition for Nintendo Switch 2. The release is scheduled for October 28, 2026.
What will the expanded version offer?
Thanks to the additional power of the new console, the project will receive significant technical and gameplay improvements:
- Updated visuals and more detailed textures;
- Significantly higher and more stable performance in large-scale metropolises;
- An expanded set of tools for planning and construction;
- New gameplay features and additional modes.
Good news for players who already own the original game on Nintendo Switch: they will be able to purchase Cities: Skylines – Expanded Edition with a 70% discount.
