Developers from Authentic Remixes and Fat Raccoon, together with publisher Acclaim, have officially announced the release of Kidbash: Super Legend. The new action platformer with roguelike elements will appear on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles in early 2027.
At the center of the plot is a hero named Kidbash, who has lost his memory but has a burning desire to become a true hero. After an unsuccessful attempt to save the village of Mandala, he sets out in search of the legendary mountain master Tao Shen Long, only to discover that he has disappeared without a trace.
Key features of Kidbash: Super Legend:
- Weapon combining: by filling a special meter during battles with enemies, you can combine two types of weapons to create a more powerful one. The developers joke that this mechanic is "not at all inspired" by the cult classic Kirby 64.
- Modifications: choose from a random pool of mods to improve platforming and combat skills. Modifications stack when mixing weapons!
- Village rebuilding: help forgotten characters restore their ruined village. Your global progress and hero development are closely tied to this process.
- Epic bosses: seek out and defeat bosses all over the mountain. Each of them has unique abilities and character. If you wish, you can even befriend some of them!
