Nintendo has announced a new tournament, Mario Kart World Open September 2026, celebrating the start of the autumn season. This event serves as a qualifying stage for the major Mario Kart World Fall Cup 2026 championship, with finals taking place in December for players from North America.
Event Details and Schedule
Tournament races kick off on September 19 at 2:00 p.m. PT (September 20 at 00:00 Kyiv time) and will run until September 20 at 6:00 p.m. PT (September 21 at 04:00 Kyiv time). All registered participants from North and South America will receive 50 My Nintendo Platinum Points, which can be claimed approximately on September 29, 2026, on the missions page.

How to Participate
To participate, you will need a Nintendo Switch 2 console, a copy of the Mario Kart World game, a Nintendo Account, and an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
To join the competition in-game, follow these steps:
- Select Online Play from the Mario Kart World main menu;
- Press the "-" button to search for the event;
- Enter the 4-digit tournament ID: 7943.
