Konami has shared great news for all fans of the iconic vampire franchise: the new installment in the series, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, will receive a full free demo version as early as October 1, 2026, for Nintendo Switch. Best of all, all earned progress and save data can be transferred directly to the full version of the game, which is scheduled for release on October 15, 2026.
Dynamic Combat and Virtuoso Whip
The classic whip combat system has undergone a massive overhaul. Players will be able to use the whip not only for attacks, but also for spectacular traversal across locations like aerial gymnasts. The flexible mechanics allow players to instantly attack enemies and maneuver through dynamic battles.
Bosses and the "Arcana" System
In Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, players will face both legendary adversaries like Death, Medusa, and Carmilla, as well as mysterious new bosses, including Joan of Arc. Upon defeat, bosses are sealed into the tarot cards of the protagonist, Rose, turning into so-called "Arcanas." They can be used to cast unique spells and execute special moves.
Combat Style Customization and Gothic Atmosphere
The developers have prepared a rich arsenal of equipment:
- Weapons across seven different categories to adapt to any playstyle pace.
- Powerful relics that affect defensive and offensive stats.
- The ability to combine found items to create a unique playthrough style.
- An updated gothic aesthetic with detailed visuals and familiar classic elements.
