Return of the Legendary Football Anime
Captain Tsubasa returns to the pitch after more than a six-year hiatus in CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS. Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment and developer TAMSOFT CORPORATION have presented a new gameplay trailer showcasing the High School Team in action.
The new installment turns football matches into intense battles where every player can unleash incredible super moves during dribbling, tackles, passes, and shots on goal. The project will be the most ambitious in the series, featuring 22 national teams, over 110 characters, and more than 150 new moves. The release on Nintendo Switch will take place on August 28, 2026.
Editions and Pre-order Bonuses
Several edition options have been prepared for fans:
- Standard Edition: base copy of the game.
- Deluxe Edition: the game, a season pass for six characters and customization items, as well as a bonus black ball.
- Ultimate Edition: the full Deluxe set, plus five alternative uniforms, three additional balls, new goal celebrations, menu themes, and early unlock for super move cards.
By pre-ordering, players will receive the 2026 World Youth Japan national team uniform, early access to the Brazil youth team, and two soundtrack music tracks by composer Tadayoshi Makino.
