Captain Tsubasa returns to the football pitch after six years in the new game CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS from Bandai Namco and studio TAMSOFT. The project's new trailer showcases the "Club Team" mode and incredible super moves that transform ordinary matches into dynamic anime battles.
Large-Scale Football Battles
The new installment will be the biggest in the series and will offer rich content for all fans of arcade football:
- 22 national teams;
- over 110 playable characters;
- more than 150 new unique techniques and moves;
- over 80 new music tracks from composer Tadayoshi Makino.
The gameplay has been dubbed Super Action Soccer: players can combine superhuman skills for dribbling, passing, slide tackles, and devastating shots on goal. The attacker vs. goalkeeper showdown system has become more tactical, adding new blocking and counterattack capabilities.
Game Editions and Pre-order Bonuses
The release of CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS on Nintendo Switch is scheduled for August 28, 2026. The game will be available in three editions:
- Standard Edition — base copy of the game.
- Deluxe Edition — the game, a Season Pass for 6 characters with customization items, and a bonus black ball.
- Ultimate Edition — all Deluxe Edition content plus 5 alternative kits, 3 ball skins, goal celebrations, main menu themes, and two move quick-unlock cards.
For pre-ordering any edition, players will receive the Japan National Team 2026 and World Youth uniform set, early access to the Brazil Youth team, and two bonus "Moete Hero" tracks.
