Publisher Shueisha Games officially confirmed during the Indie World showcase that the sci-fi school drama and sports boss-rush action game BAKUDO will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 console in 2027.
The project is described as a "sports game for those who don't like sports." Along with the announcement, the developers presented a new trailer dedicated to everyday life at the elite Soliris Academy, where students train in an unusual sport — Coreball.
Main Characters of the Game
In the new video, the creators introduced the community to three key characters:
- Yuria — a new student in the Coreball division at Soliris Academy. She enrolled in the institution while investigating the only clue left by her missing father. Always ready to rush to the aid of others, she becomes flustered when someone shows kindness to her.
- Evie — an upperclassman from the support department and a genius inventor. She is cheerful, easily connects with anyone, and becomes a reliable partner to Yuria, though she never misses a chance to tease her.
- Aria — the top representative of the elite Stellar Eight and an undisputed genius. A calm and taciturn girl who rarely shows emotion and presents Yuria with an extremely difficult challenge.
The release of BAKUDO on Switch 2 is expected in 2027.
