Studio Inti Creates is preparing for the release of the updated collection Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, which will be released as soon as October 22, 2026. Ahead of the launch, the developers published a new trailer showcasing the exclusive story expansion "Azure Striker Gunvolt GX".
What is included in the collection?
Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced brings together three classic 2D action platformers under one cover:
- Azure Striker Gunvolt (2014)
- Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 (2016)
- Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 (2022)
The edition includes all previously released downloadable content, and the version for Nintendo Switch 2 will offer support for increased resolution and higher frame rates.
Features of the "Gunvolt GX" mode
The new story mode is included in the Switch 2 Edition and the upgrade pack. In it, players will be able to control the duo of Gunvolt and Copen, utilizing new weapons and abilities. An "Inspiration" mechanic has also been introduced, encouraging timely switching between heroes to activate gameplay and score bonuses.
