Publisher BBG Entertainment has announced the return of the cult 1983 platformer Manic Miner. The updated version of the classic game will arrive on Nintendo Switch this fall.

The release of Manic Miner for the hybrid console was created with the full support and authorization of the original game's author, Matthew Smith. The project will offer a reimagined take on the classic, taking into account modern platform capabilities.
Key features of the update include:
- A complete reimagining of all 20 original levels with a modern visual style.
- Support for parallax scrolling and dynamic lighting.
- Preservation of the classic gameplay and the original's signature difficulty.
The developers will announce the exact release date on the Nintendo eShop soon.
